When nothing is going right, Just go fishing.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I change socks at the boat ramp before I go fishing. I put my warm socks on right before I get on the boat. That way there is no sweat on my socks to chill my feet and in case y’all thought I was joking about wearing fuzzy crocs when it’s cold... it was 19 degrees when we launched the boat. My fingers got numb but my feet stayed warm.

I wear a pair of snake proof boots that I use during turkey season. No insulation, I am a firm believer in quality socks being 80% of the battle with the cold.

I have some Amazon TideWe 6mm neoprene rubber boots with a comfort rated: -4 - 68 F with great ratings still in good condition so going to keep them until I need to get rid of them ha!
I keep seeing good quality socks are a must in this thread. What would qualify for good quality socks?

I wear Darn Tough socks exclusively. They are a little expensive, but have a lifetime warranty. Since I do a lot of hiking and standing for my job, I ended up investing in enough pairs over the years to replace all my regular socks. If they wear out, I can send them back for a new pair.
