    Default I'm so stupid

I was supposed to have to go to a stupid couples wedding shower today for a friend of my wife's kid, and it got cancelled yesterday afternoon due to the parents of the groom being exposed to Covid. So now I get to take out the new boat and go fishing! Except I just realized I didn't take out an insurance policy on it this week. I got busy and forgot. So I guess I'm going in the Xpress again! Not that there's a thing in this world wrong with the Xpress, it's just not the new boat. LOL

Should be able to just call 24 hr line for your insurance co and get it on your policy. Then Monday morning get everything straightened out.

My insurance covers anything new that I get for so many days before I actually get issuance on it kinda like you got ten days or so to get a tag might be something to check into.

My current boat insurance is with Chubb. I called their 800 number, they don't have a boat rep in their corporate office so I'm on the phone with Progressive.

I can certainly understand your refusal to take the new boat until it is wrapped with insurance coverage, because just as sure as you ventured out without it something totally unforeseen (and likely expensive) would surely happen. Boat insurance is not something that's talked about a whole lot on here... but I certainly feel a whole lot better having it and not needing it... than I ever do worrying about needing it and not having it. I have what I believe is a pretty awesome policy with Nationwide.

I did mine on line with Progressive it took 10 minutes. Had already gotten an on line quote from Geico. Total time spent about 30 minutes with both.

I did an online quote with Progressive until I got to the part where I selected when the coverage would begin. Tomorrow was the earliest it would allow me to start coverage was tomorrow. I ended up calling them and speaking with a real person after telling the computer I wanted to talk to a person... It didn't take long at all and I had insurance immediately. Today is the first time that I've ever been able to take my whole family with me in a boat. We had a good time. The water is so clear on Guntersville that I could see details on the bottom sitting in 8 FOW. That's not real conducive to great fishing in my experience but we did manage a few. My wife sat and read all afternoon. She said she had a great time. Looked awful boring to me. LOL

Sounds like you were able to get it all wrapped up and out on the water with the family. WTG!! May you all experience many more great outings with the new rig.

It's crazy how low they've got it. There's a drop off on the ramp at Siebold. Drops about 2" halfway down the ramp. That drop off is out of the water now.
