Dam*
On the wheeler side. Thank you!
Jigs, swimbaits, soft plastics, crankbaits, live bait. You name it. White bass ain’t too picky when it comes to eatin
I would also suggest get in any creek down from there and look for shad jumping for their lives. And look under that. Bring a BIG cooler.

You can also rip a rattle trap thru the jumping shad and wear your arm out. Watch for birds they're usually in the middle of a jump of shad as well. A silver spoon below the dam works very well too!
I never fish for them, but find them stacked in the creek mouths in late winter early spring. When you find them you can catch them all day!
You can only keep 15.
If you're fishing from the bank, just get on the rip rap and sling a bait out as far as you can. White bass aren't picky as mentioned above. Use a 1/8 or even 1/4 jig head so you can get maximum distance on your casts. They like current, and there's less of that on the Huntsville side of the dam than there is the Union Grove side. Get down at the boat ramp and sling a white, pearl or smoke curly tailed jig.
Anything white, Spoon or blad baits. Not familiar with guntervill but they are the same on most lakes. Like most fish they are easy to cat if you're not trying to. I catch buckets of them when crappie fishing but probably couldn't catch one if I target them.
