Default Madison County LK, 12 Oct 20

Bass, catfish and crappie all were on the take this morning. The County Lake has turned over already. Fish were 10-12' deep. Almost twice as deep as they were last month before the cold came in. Water temp was 71 consistently across the whole lake. I was just glad to get out and troll around for awhile before calling it quits around noon. No huge catches just enough to make it interesting while I was out. The wads of bait were huge! Bait was way more concentrated compared to earlier this year.

Bob D, do you mind sharing what you caught them on? I'm thinking about hitting Madison County Lake for my first time ever this Friday but it depends on the wind. Supposed to have a stiff NW wind.

Believe it or not, I was actually long line trolling. Would not do that in a stiff wind. Was using 1/16th jigs with Southern Pro grubs. Black with a chartreuse tail seemed to be what got bit the most.
