Default Cotaco Creek, 4 Oct 2020

Been a while. Went to Cotaco this morning for my first trip of the year. Water was 71.7 degrees and still high. Visibility was about 12". There were two types of bites this morning. Shorts were aggressive with two thumps. Keeper bite was very subtle on the fall. Trick was to watch the line. I caught about 20 this morning, kept 6 for dinner. Yes, I am still lazy with cleaning and rarely bring any home.

    Great mess of fish!
An ungrateful man is like hog under a tree eating acorns, but never looking up to see where they come from!

Saw the same thing yesterday at limestone. I am growing fond of catching 8" crappie. Not a lot of clean up with those. Pretty sure I would change my name to catchNreeleaze if Slab would let me.
