Default Float for Trolling Motor Remote

Has anyone figured out an ergonomic float to attach around the lanyard for the MinnKota TM remote?

I have a Terrova and am trying to figure out some way how to keep the remote floating for not IF but WHEN either it slips off my neck or my daughter tosses it over the boat.

    Any suggestions would be great.

I whittled down a piece of foam noodle and put a wooden bead on each side of it to hold it on . Kind of like a draw string on a straw hat .
The truth is hard to accept, so is life .

Anthony, you're the float! LOL Never let the lanyard come off of your neck. Can't believe that sweet kid would try to throw her dad's remote in the drink.

I can’t stand mine being around my neck, seems like every time I move I somehow hit my touch screen and it will do something I don’t intend it to do. I’ve put a piece of industrial strength Velcro on the back of it and made a Velcro wrap that I put on my leg to hold it, works great for me. Name: IMG_0682.jpg

You ever seen those sunglasses floats that look like a bobber and attach to the earpieces? Could maybe take one of those and attach it to the lanyard (may take more than 1 to give enough buoyancy though).

These kind are nice too since they use a peg to keep the float on.

I like the Velcro idea to get it off my neck. But I'm pretty sure they float.

How about a fishing float just big enough to do the job?
