Default Cedar Creek Lake, 7 Jun

Tough day today! Went out to Cedar Creek for a change of pace. Tried to get on the timber but the wind came up and I could not hold on the trees long enough to get a good presentation vertically. Saw a guy trolling and saw him catch a fish, so I tied on some horse heads and gave it a go, a big no go! Lol Talked to a game warden he said most guys are trolling cranks and live baiting minnows to catch a few. Water was 79 and visibility about 2'. Had a great picnic lunch with my daughter and wife and then we packed it in for another day. Didn't have any of my cranks with me, and the wind that was supposed to be 3-5 turned into 10-15. Next time.

Great report and sounds like y’all had a great day after all. I heard the crank bite was picking up I guess it’s time to swap the rods and put the cranks in the boat.

It's fest or fame right now. Summer time can be great but it's not easy. Glad you got to go with the family

We went a while back. Didn't find the good timber until later on in the day since it was our first time there. Nice little lake and the water
was very clean compared to some of the other lakes with more pressure on them.
