    Default Lay lake longlining question

My brother may be getting a trailer on lay lake. Never fished it. Was wondering if anyone long lines there in the winter and spring and how it is. Believe the area is around turtle point if that means anything to anyone. Thanks

I don't know where turtle point is but several years ago when I fished Lay a few times there was still a good bit of standing timber in the creeks. If it is still there you will have a tough time trying to long line without staying hung up all the time.

I used to stay at turtle point every weekend during the summer years ago. The water isn’t extremely deep there. I have no experience trolling or crappie fishing for that matter in spring creek. I can tell you that I have had a challenging time consistently catching crappie single poling on lay this year.
