Default Fishing Bridges at Lake Guntersville

Can anyone else speak from experience or observation about how crowded the banks get underneath the bridges at LG this time of year? I've never fished over there but considered making a trip soon. A little researching leaves me kind of thinking you won't be able to swing a dead cat without hitting another fisherman. I don't mind hunting for a spot at all, but mainly curious to know if there are any places I need to expect to be covered up?

Sometimes worse than others. They were not that bad this past weekend from what I saw.

Its pretty much over this time of year as the fish are scattered around after the spawn, blue gill are hot but small , most that fish the bridges in the fall don't hang in the late Spring since they cant fill their bucket so to speak of 10 to 20 so on a given day there might be no more than 1 to 5 cars on a weekend 0 to 1 or 2 in the work week . Starting in September it will be anywhere from 5 to 20 cars at various bridges till it gets too cold for most or they cant fill the 5 gallon buckets again

The bridges are still holding fish so there will be folks out especially weekends. I like to fish at night. Browns ferry is a good spot but it's where you will find your biggest crowd. If you get there early take some waders and fish the Huntsville side you'll probably do good. Early is like 5am

An added bonus to having a few folks around is you can see what other folks are doing and get some pointers and tips. I never mind sharing info with the folks around me if they want it. Don't think you'll find it too crowded this time of year.

Thanks to all. I made the drive over this morning. Caught a 13” male black crappie about 9:15. Hopefully I can put a few more in the bucket before the day is done.

Catch any more?Ive thought about fishing the bridges but I’d rather find somewhere off by myself. I’ve heard of people coming to blows over a spot over there. Lol

Didn’t catch anything else all morning. Fished from 6-10:30. I may have been doing it all wrong, but I was casting jigs out far as I could toward the bridge pilings, letting it drop on a 15 count and reeling back very slow. I tried adjusting depth up and down a few times.

This fish though I caught basically vertical jigging the bridge pilings on the south side of Town Creek bridge. He was on the break line of the rocks by the pilings nearest to the bank.
