Good report....thanks for sharing
Hey there everybody! My dad and I fished Shoal Creek over on Wilson Lake yesterday, and despite wind gusts and some trash from recent rains, we were able to bring home a few slabs! Smallest one was just under 13 inches. We had lots of success trolling stump beds in 9-12 FOW with 1/32 ounce jig heads and blue ice Bobby Garland baby shad. Females were all full of eggs. I can only guess that the massive amounts of rain that northwest Alabama has received has caused them not to spawn yet when so many other places seem to indicate they have.
Thank y’all for your fishing reports!! I can’t tell you how much it helps to hear other people’s success AND failure when I’ve been trying for years to learn how to catch crappie. I hope to meet some of y’all out there someday!

Great job sounds like y’all had a good day. I fish on Wilson a lot that’s a hard lake to find crappie on.
