Glad you was able to get out and give em a try! Better luck next time!
Had to get out of the house for a bit today so decided to drive out to the Big G and check a few places to see what the water looked like. One of my favorite causeways was under water and unfishable. Then went to the pumphouse on Hwy 79 and did not get bit. Then went to the docks at Goose Pond and did not get a bite there either. Water was dingy and only about 1' of visibility. Water is still way up from rain earlier last week and it looks like more rain is coming tomorrow.
Glad you was able to get out and give em a try! Better luck next time!
You can't catch them at home it was worth a try. Years of fishing bad conditions has yielded some go to spots for me. I know the creeks that clear up first and the places to get out of the wind. Got to go on bad days to find that information. At least you know where not to go now.

I was out in that mess in my boat yesterday. I tried to find some spots to single pole fish down on the south end. I was out on the big water. It was brutal. That east wind kicked my tail. We fished from 6:30-1:30 and only caught 5 or 6 fish and only one of those was a crappie.
At least you got to try. I have not been in a while. Starting to get cabin fever.
