Hmmm...
The pressure on Martin is getting strong. Making it harder to get them to bite imma thinking that the livescope is increasingly making this an issue. If you don’t have one your odds are going down big time. I’ve been with a couple cats that use them and they hammer the holes pretty hard. Dead on the schools of fish. I watched several schools move away from structure as I caught a few on my 360 today. Just some thoughts.
Hmmm...
'at boy just ain't right.
Phillips I’m not saying they don’t work. I’m saying the fish don’t have a chance.

Well I've seen fish on electronics and they wouldn't bite so I don't think you're going to catch all the fish in the lake but I have seen what you're taking about first hand. I think its more the numbers of Fishermen than the tec.

I wouldn’t condemn anyone for using them, but my opinion is it’s really gonna hurt the poor fishermen who can’t afford them. Also the ones who fishing is more than catching a limit every time out.

I think its going to hurt the amount of big crappie in a lake. Before you could find the fish now you can target the big ones. I see more limits or restrictions applied in future as this becomes more prevalent.
Having a bunch of high tech stuff is not going to make you a better fisherman. I know people who spend a lot of money on all the latest gadgets and can't catch a cold. Technology helps good fishermen because it helps them eliminate unproductive water quickly. But once you find them you have to do something to catch them. I don't think it will hurt the poor fisherman because they dont' have technology. Knowing the lake and what the fish do at various times of the yr is much more important. I can go to Nickajack, the upper end of Guntersville and never turn a depth finder on and catch fish because I grew up there and Know the water where the channels ect Same For Weiss Ive fished it so much I know where and when the fish should be. I rely more on my electronics for navigation than I do finding fish. If fishing else where is like here and Neely you dont need anything. Just look till you see a bunch of boats ganged up and go there and fish
chuckster thanked you for this post
And meanwhile if steamboats were a dime a dozen.... I would run the bank hollering dern that's cheap!
I can tell you first hand, finding crappie does NOT make them bite. Same with striper and bass. I have a livescope. I have put baits smack in their face and got ignored plenty. Sure, you can catch them better when they are feeding, but , just finding them is not the cure all.
