Default Kayak Trip Report, Bradford Sinks

I fished Bradford Sinks on Redstone Arsenal today from 7AM till about 1:30PM. The fish were scattered and biting soft, but I managed a limit. I spider rigged four poles with 1/16oz White Marabou jig about four feet deep in 6 feet of water. The water was clear with visibility of about 24 inches, 51 degrees at daylight warming to 54 by afternoon. Another beautiful day on the water!

    Searay,

That's what I love about a kayak, gets you back to the simple days of fishing in your youth. No big boat to pull, no registration, maintenance, insurance and a thousand pounds of gear. A few simple baits, pay attention to the fish and enjoy the outdoors.

I didn’t know it was open. I tried for months to go there, but they kept telling me the range was closed.

Bradford has been closed for almost a year, but open last weekend. I'm hoping it continues to be open most weekends, but we'll see.
