Dock shooting law
Can someone post a link to the state law that talks about docks being legal to fish? I've tried to Google it with no success. There's a large marina on Guntersville that has no tresspassing and no fishing boat slip signs posted all over it. From what I've been told is that, they can post whatever they want, but they can't legally prevent me from fishing the slips. I've fished it twice now and haven't had a confrontation with anyone, but I'm sure it's coming. I want to have my documentation printed off and ready to hand them.

On Martin anything beyond full pool is public domain in water. You can fish all docks here but you can not Harrass home owner. Best to not respond to dock owner. Green jeans told me to get phone out and record any harassment situation. Call green jeans on your lake

Yeah I plan to do that, but I want to have a printed copy of the law with me. I've never read the law.

Years ago they stopped duck hunting anywhere around them. Go figure. Now it inside Guntersville city limits, so no hunting from there back to the city.
I would contact TVA and see what they say. At one time TVA would extend lakeward property rights beyond the shoreline for some big marinas.

It's been a few years ago , but we fished it from a boat and some idiot was running up a down the dock screaming.We weren't near the slips. The G police showed up and ask us to leave so the guy would shut up, be we finished our trip and front of the idiot and the officer. Good place to fish but beware of the moron's.

I just - prefer to not fish them. I know it is a free lake, but those lot owners can be hard on your blood pressure.
