    Default Crappie fishing Lake Guntersville

Other than February through early June, I hate it. Hate it with a passion. It has kicked my tail til I'm tired of it. I'm not going to fish bridges. Just not going to.

I love single pole fish N!!!

Was tuff this morning in the area I was in for me but so was it for the other 7-8 boats I talked too !! Fish were there they just didn’t want to bite ! we caught 7 with only 3 keepers and everyone else was about the same one boat had 8 with most only 3-4 . But I’m going back tomorrow and Saturday and every chance I get ! By being on the water the last couple trips I have learned so much on my own on my lake after I was educated on somethings last Friday ! The three keepers came off of a spot that I had marked and caught 2 keepers on yesterday evening ! So I’m so excited to get back on the water more now than ever! Going to try different areas tomorrow just to see what I can learn ! Keep going you’ll get her figured out! I’ve been looking on the map and they are Lots of ares down your way that set up basically the same way that I’ve been finding em on ! Give me a shout! I’ll share what I think will work down that way but I’ve been wrong before!

Bridges are too loud and to cramped.

Mitch, I've got a learning trip scheduled for 12/10. I hope I can learn something. I'm finding fish, I just can't make em bite. I can't be sure they're crappie, but whatever they are, don't want to play. That's the good, bad thing about the LiveScope. I can see em, and I can see them ignore the jig or minnow like they did today, or avoid the jig/minnow like they did the other day when I took my son. Very frustrating.

They follow the shad. The shad will be at the bridges and night and in the early morning

Don't know much about the big G. It sure seems like it can be a hard lake to fish. I rarely see reports of big numbers. Always big fish but never good numbers. They got to be somewhere just keep at it

Heard of a few bays that had tons of shad in them and some good crappie following them around there. Stay after them guys, they're around.

I feel better about things today... I went "blind" to Weiss. Only time I have ever fished it was at the spring crappie camp in 2018. I went to shoot docks and did. Ended up with 7 keepers. Only caught 3 shorts. I only found them stacked up on 2 docks. One dock I caught 4 keepers in about 10 casts. The other dock I only caught one keeper and 2 short but man they were stacked under it, in a spot where I couldn't get a jig.

Mitch I just noticed in your pictures that you were using pink jigs. I thought you didn't like pink jigs because they only caught stripe??

I usually don’t ! But that color has been good lately or at least good in the pictures! And luckily not the first stripe in the last 3 trips!
