    Default Smith lake level

Tried to put in at Lakeshore and Corinth yesterday. Lake level is to low to use either ramp, came home. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Went back today and put in at Houston recreation area. Rumor has it that some folks have been catching crappie, she who must be obeyed fished with me and she caught the only 2 fish, small spots. I marked a bunch of fish that apparently were afraid of commitment. We had a great afternoon. Hopefully we’ll be able to find some crappie in Smith eventually, I know they’re in there, I just struggle to find them.

Cattoon I went on Smith today also it was a slow day for crappie. I caught a few but the bites came slow just enough to keep my interest up. Alabama Power had 2 turbines running today which seems to affect the crappie. I have fished the the yellow creek area where you were today but don’t know much about it. I always fish Rock Creek, and Clear Creek most days. I’m off work a lot thru the week pm me and I’ll give you my number and maybe we can get together for some crappie sometime soon.

I am also trying to pattern the crappie on Smith and fish all over the Sispey and Brushy Creek area for stripers. Was in Yellow Creek shooting docks 3 weeks ago and caught one over 2 lbs but only one I caught. Graphed the creek channel and I believe the crappie are suspended over the channel feeding on all the small groups of shad. Going to spider rig Wednesday or this weekend. Will report what i find.

Maybe just long line some jigs and pick up some crappie. Any way let us know how the spider rigging goes. That’s something I’ve never done. I know there are some docks in yellow creek that hold some crappie I’ve caught a few there in the past.

Keith I live in Arley also we’ll have to go sometime. Most days I go by myself so having someone to go with is always welcomed.

I would like that. Usually in Arley Thursday through Sunday. Work makes me be in Atlanta the other days.
