Default What would you do different?

Lots of great advice and observations given.
    Same things I have observed,
Some days you eat the bear, and some days the bear eats you.
I have learned to just catch what I can, and move on.
I do switch back and forth between hair/feather jigs and plastics, spoons also.
Many times switching out colors has helped me catch a limit off one pile.

If they were deep enough that the trolling motor wouldn’t of effected them I would of used the same color with a crappie nibble and vertical jigged them with my rod tip no more than an inch or so off the water to help with the wind. I’ve had to do this technique several times when on fish and the wind gets to tough.

The fish were 8-10’ deep to the top of the school in 20’ of water. Stacked against an old blown bridge. I was riding white caps. 2-3’ waves. I tried upwind and downwind of them. It was rough.

Wondering if the fish were there to avoid the conditions, and will soon leave. It's tough fishing a spot like that. Thoughts?

When they don't bite...…..go lite ! We usually throw into a heavy wind and let the wind make the jig create the action. Old man I use to fish with, would take a smaller jig 1/24 or 1/32 and put a larger float on that would not sit upright , just laid on it's side. When they hit the jig ,it wouldn't go under but the float would sit straight up like it normally should l! It works !

I only have 1 word. Slabsause. I always did better when I had a bow in my line, but sometimes you have to do what several mentioned and keep switching up until you find a color that entices the bite. Just my 2 cents

I would use the couch method or maybe just maybe catch up some honey do's.
