Default Kayak Trip Report, Limestone Bay/Creek

I parked in the refugee and fished the North end of Limestone Bay in the Creek today for a few hours. Kept 6 and returned about the same amount of short Crappie. I used a mix of small spinners and a jig and bobber. Small gills and Channel Catfish seemed to be everywhere. Upper end is clear with visibility of about 18 inches, but the gravel pits and lower end are muddy with visibility of only about 6 inches. Not sure on temperature, I never turned on my fish finder.

I parked where the old bridge is on limestone creek and paddle down from there. I had two shallow spots I had to drag over. There were bank fishermen in vehicles on the west side of the creek so the Mooresville gate was still open.
