A lot of the brush piles are marked and I think the store has a GPS list. Real easy to work the lake from a kayak. Got a feeling it's going to be crowded.

I’ve been seeing on their Facebook page where they are catching them there already. I’ve been wanting to take my kayak over there for a while but can’t find the time. If I get a chance I may try it this weekend. Anyone have any tips or advice?Ive never fished there.

The lake is a great lake to fish from a kayak. It's 110 acres. Weekends are def busy but thankfully for boats there is no outboard use so hopefully it won't be too crowded but with this cooler weather its going to bring a bunch of folks out. I love fishing there and Dekalb County Lake.

As stated, plenty of brush. Wind this weekend will not be your friend, but you can probably find a corner or two to tuck into and beat it. Most of the fish there are blacks with an occasional white showing up. Like Slabprowler said, some really good shellcracker in there too. Just about anything will work there, I prefer BG jigs and longlining Southern Pro grubs.
