    Default fishing report for Decatur

We fished Friday from daylight till 10:30 . Only caught 4 small bass. We tried frogs and top water over and around the mil foil-hydrilla patches with no takers. We caught some thread fin shad and only had the 4 small bass. It is hard to keep them alive as hot as it is. The grass is all over the Decatur area now. Frog fishing should be great when they start dropping the water. Hope this helps the crappie fishing as well.

Did you go out in your Kayak or boat? I thought I was going to make it out yesterday but ended up working around the house. Hopefully the grass will help the fishing, I need to get out and take a look at the grass.

we were in the boat. when they drop the water and the milfoil mats up, there should be better access from a kayak than a boat. It may come back like it was several years ago. It was so thick, you could not get across the river channel with out a push pole. Hope it turns out to be a good frog fishing fall.
