Lake Purdy! I don’t know much about it other than I think you have to buy a permit to fish it but I hear it’s loaded with crappies and some big uns too !

Lake Purdy..... you can't use your own boat there, you have to rent one of their boats on that lake.

I’m sorry but if you do go to Lake Purdy, take your own trolling motor and fish finder and pay $20 for the wide Jon boat. I have been 3 times as I live 3 minutes from there and we spent over $130 renting the fully rigged motor boat. Fish finder doesn’t work on their boats and I have yet to catch a fish over 10”. I went 2 days ago and nothing, again. I’m not a believer in that lake. Probably fished out. Not much structure other than a few hanging trees. No docks. We trolled crank baits a few days ago and caught 2 small spotted Bass. It’s good for Bass I know. I usually just drive to Guntersville when I have the funds.

I have 30 brush piles set out at Lay Lake if you are close. No boat needed.
