    Default Camping and fishing question

Has anyone fished a lake or river and just found a good place to pull up to and camped then fished the next day before returning to the launch area? Can you even do that anymore? Used to when I was much younger but times have changed. Iím not sure of any laws or regulations concerning such. Would like to hear from anyone doing it or knowing about it.

I kinda do it all the time, I say kinda because when I leave my house that was my intention to camp and fish and not just a decision made on the water. Iím not sure about other lakes but AP has designated islands for camping on Wedowee. On the Tallapoosa Rivers north of wedowee there is plenty of sandbars to camp for the night. A river trip is usually from fri evening till midday Sunday and we have never seen a shortage of campsites unless the river is up usually we donít even try if thatís the case.

Thanks, I live about 2 1/2 hours from wedowee but may have to plan a trip there. I live closer to the Tenn river. There is just something about fishing and primitive style camping that I love though I haven’t done it in years.

I have done it on Spring Creek on Wheeler lake but it's been a while back and would love to do it again.I have had some real good times just finding a out of the way place and sitting there with a rod in the water and looking at the stars and enjoying nature
