I got your point,I was trying my poor attempt at humor and I agree more illumination would be a bonus especially at night

Weekend nights (Fri-Sunday) scares me on Guntersville. I see too many boats full of drunks riding around with their radios blaring not half way paying attention. Daytime is really just as bad. I was fishing Tuesday afternoon under the big river bridge. I was on one side of one of the big pilings and another boat was on the other side of it. We were about 50-60 feet apart. There's a Tuesday afternoon bass tournament that blasts off from Browns creek. One of those idiots came within 50-60 feet of him running WOT. There is absolutely no reason for anyone to EVER do that. I don't know exactly how wide the river is there, 3/4 mile? Maybe more? That's just inconsiderate and dangerous. To top it off the same idiot came through there the week before and hit a jet ski wake and his boat started chine walking terribly bad. He could have lost it at any second. If any of you have a cell phone number for the water patrol, please send it to me. They could sit there next Tuesday and write some tickets. I'd like to see that guy get tattooed with a big ticket before he gets killed or kills somebody.

I agree with the illumination, but I've nearly been run over twice in 8 years during daylight. I count the number of times someone has blasted by within 100 feet of me in a kayak when they had the whole lake or bay to use. I even had a couple jet skis run all the way up Indian Creek on Lake Wheeler to the Redstone Arsenal marker barrels one afternoon while I was jigging laydowns. I don't use a jet ski, but I can't even figure why you'd want to try that?

Closest I've been to getting runt-over was by some guy having trolling motor problems at the spring camp in his new boat. Not naming any names but he use to be a footballcoach. He nearly harpooned me with his trolling motor!
