What a great morning to be on the water for the first day of summer. Temps were not too hot and just a slight wind kept it very comfortable. Thought I'd try some deep water long lining to see if that pattern had set up yet. The fish were suspended 7-10" in 22-25 FOW. No particular color seemed to out perform anything else. Managed to catch a few, and they were nice 11-12" fish, a little larger than normal for this lake. Saw a bald eagle a couple of times. Once it flew right over the boat a tree top level, very cool!! Water temp was a steady 82/83. Talked to a few folks that were jig fishing and they said the fish were right up under the trees until the sun came up then it died off. Fun day on the water but not a lot of catching for anyone on the lake yesterday.

Glad you found some! Sounds like my recent trip. I’m going to wait for rain or a cool spell.
