But I have never seen it at the Walmart here...

That's not surprising. Walmart is very "in tune" with their local markets. The fishing section of my local Walmart looks nothing like the fishing section at the Walmart I visit in Florida.

    You can order it online:

SOS Fishing Line - TROUT MAGNET

... or buy Trilene XL 2# or Stren Crappie 2#. I like both of them better than SOS.

Berkley Trilene XL Monofilament Line : FishUSA

Stren Crappie Monofilament Line : FishUSA

Thanks Ditch, when I did the research I found out the Stren Magnathin 4 pound is the same diameter as the SOS Trout Magnet 2 pound (I understand why you are using it). Looks like Cabela's has the Magnathin in stock so when I get to Huntsville I will pick some up. Thanks! I need some clear or camo rather than the bright yellow for fishing clear water.

I spent a good bit of last summer working a 1/64 jig bottom bouncing in 10 to 12 feet of water. I think one of the keys is when I get home I strip off my line to remove twist, then spray with reel magic.

There is one major difference between the two. Magnathin is a "pre-stretched" line. They take regular Stren 4# mono and stretch it. That's why it's thinner.
