Went to Walmart yesterday and they had the 2 lb SOS line, so I picked up a spool. They had moved it on me and I had been overlooking it. Now I just have to get on the water and give it a try.

2lb sos is a great line and I hope you will like it as much as I do... I’ve used it for several years now

I went to 2 lb for trout MDC stocks here in MO metro areas and could cast it long ways but when tying on lures it is so hard to work with and especially with these old eyes! I switched to Mr crappie camo 4 lb and did just as well and much easier to work with. didn't bother to change out on my main crappie 7 foot rod and president reel and it has been great for ketchn krappie and the occasional green carp.

Like 99% of the lines sold in the US, the SOS is stronger than stated on the box. The 2# SOS breaks at around 3.5#. It's still very good line, though.

A true 2# line is very thin and very hard to find in the US.

It looks like Walmart is dropping it from many stores. A couple of my local Walmarts used to carry it. Now, neither do.

In another thread, a member said he had bought a bunch of it on close-out.
