    That's crazy talk.

Alabama rules for trucks: To drive em, they gotta have tars on em. You've either gotta have an AU in the back windershield or a God Bless Nick Saban sticker. One or the tuther and gotta have a tag.

Boats: Gotta float, gotta have current registration on 'em, motors make em go faster.

That's about all the rules we got about trucks and boats.

We got rules about footwear though. Leave them Mississippi cowboy boots (knee high white rubber boots) over there. We don't wear em over here.

Hopefully everything will work out for you and your wife on the move and the new job. The fishing will come easier. Lots of great people on here to help you with the fishing and I'm sure you'll make some good friends as I have on here. I live a little south of where you are moving but you're welcome to come down and fish with me any time

I just found something about a Vessel Operators license... Need to know more about that, and also requirements for fishing license. I will be 70 in November... Looks like everything requires a Social Security card. Gees Louise, I draw, don't contribute. Now, they want it for ID?
Trying to sort out the details so that the worker bee in this relationship will not get caught off guard. She's already a nervous wreck, cause we would be moving a good bit further away from her mother...

Do you have a vessel license from your state? Alabama is a reciprocate state. Meaning we will honor your states license. I would assume it would need to be transferred to your Alabama license.

The vessel license is a letter designation added to your drivers license. If you do not already have on, it's just a matter of taking the test at the DMV. Not a big deal, just grab their little handout study guide, spend a few minutes going thru it and you'll be good to go. Since you're 70 I don't think you need a license pretty sure after 65 hunting & fishing is free.

Mississippi doesn't require one unless born after June 30th 1980, if born after that you have to take a boater's safety course and issued a card upon completion.

I believe that all you have to do is show a Alabama state ID that shows you are a resident and over the age of 65 and you should be good on the fishing license
