I would go to Guntersville or Chickamauga. If you have your family I would recommend Chickamauga. Lot to do in Chattanoooga other than fish. Chick might be easier to fish right now because it does not have near as much aquatic vegitation as Big G.
I have memorial week off was looking for any suggestions where to go that week. We are coming from Chicago area. Would probably arrive on holiday monday and stay rest of week We have an truck camper and boat would like crappie and bass
never fished Alabama was looking at Guntersville Weis or Wheeler lake as I have maps for those lakes. Also considering Chikamauga Lake in TN I know it’s late for crappie. I have spider rig gear also have been pulling twister tails and just got med light Lightning rod 8 footer with counter reel small for pulling cranks
it has been generally cold up here until now my lake is 55 right now it has not been above 62 that I’ve seen

I’m sure you could find fish on any of the lakes if you have decent electronics! I’m with coach if you looking for something for the family besides fishing lots to do in chatt town! all the loose floating grass on the Big G makes it very frustrating !
Only problem you well have is the pleasure boaters will be out in full force. I hate being on the water on this holiday, it's seems to be the worst. Any of the north Alabama lakes should be good right now. Good luck and stay safe!

That is why I like hearing about Gators showing up here and there. Need to stock them. Cut down on jet skis and wake boards.
