Ditto would be a good place to start.
So, I think I have my wife talked into going bluegill fishing tomorrow. I’ve not been able to put her on crappie and I think she’s wanting to get back to the way we fished a hundred years ago before kids. Back in Kentucky where we lived when we were young, we always caught a lot of bluegill in the creeks and rivers we fished. Where would you all recommend I take her that we can get a 19ft boat into? We’d like to stay near Huntsville, but might be convinced to drive a little. Any advice is appreciated.

Lake on Green Mtn.
Decatur boat harbor. Just drift between hwy 31 and the railroad bridge about middle way. You might even catch a crappie or two.
Thanks for the input. We ended up going to Shoals Creek in Florence. Caught a few little ones and ended up boat riding more than anything. I learned that lake can go from calm seas to whitecaps in a heartbeat. I’ll keep these places in mind next time I talk her into going out in the water with me.

That's some fine eating there!! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Tuscaloosa. We may have to make a road trip down there. I haven’t been to Tuscaloosa since my son went to school there. I always wondered about that river.

Looking good, for us all. It's storming here, I am sad.
