    Default Pickwick Lake

Guys, I want to fish Pickwick. I've never fished it before and have no idea where to go, what creek, or what portions of the river are fertile crappie areas. Can anybody offer any advice or input on good places to fish and put in? I want to go next week when the rain stops.

Thanks guys. I do appreciate it.

If it was me I would search the web for info on Bear Creek and Yellow Creek. Never fished Pickwick but I hear those two creeks are great. Hope you land on em!!

I fish bear almost every weekend. It’s typically been pretty good to me, however I’ve had a hard time lately. Where you go on bear largely depends on what you want to do. There is a pretty good range of water from 30-3 ft there that is fishable with docks, flats, stumps, lay downs, etc. There’s a thread I started titled Help on Pickwick and Wilson that some guys gave me some pointers that worth a read!

The latest fishing reports for Pickwick from msdwfp.com as of 4/9, casting to the banks with jigs or minnows was better than spider rigging.
