After it hits TV, it's gonna be busy at the boat ramps... We get clobbered here every spring, and the lakes in northern MS are the main draw... Have fun! And congrats on such a fine fishery!

With only 65000+ acres it’s a big lake with 5 or more different grasses that’s more abundant than all the green carp guys which fill every ramp from North to south with tournaments every weekend and very few places on this lake to get out of the wind also with lots of skinny water you better know where you are going if you get out of the Chanel she will humble you in a hurry .we do have quality fish and those that can adjust to the adverse conditions can catch a decent mess of fish but it’s not a easy chore just as the tourney guys proved electronics is a must and now with the new live scope it’s going to be a game changer on every lake that has decent size fish! Good luck and Tight lines to everyone !

Folks that ain't use to fishing in hydrilla, coon tail and that dad gum eel grass, are gonna get real frustrated, real quick. I get real frustrated, real quick and I fish it all the time. If I was rich, I'd mount a hay rake to a boat and pay somebody to drive it in front of me to rake that floating mess off the top of the water and I'd fish right behind them.

The fish get big here because of all the vegetation to hide in. I've fished 5 different lakes in the first year of "real" crappie fishing for me. Guntersville is the hardest one to find fish on and I fish it 3 days a week.

I bet most will only come one time. It's crowded with bass fishermen and it must be a hard lake to fish. We probably have more members that fish the big G. Than any other lake and I rarely see anyone catch more than 20 on a given trip. I live just over a hour away and I probably won't be a visitor.

This is not going to change a thing on Guntersville Lake this spring... LOL there're only so many parking spots and they're all taken up...
