I’d spend time on the graph in search mode to eliminate dead water, 10% of the lake will hold 90% of the fish and I think I’d like my jigs running though the 10%.

What do you guys look for when you go to a new lake if pulling jigs is gonna be your technique? Do you look for fish or just look for a flat or what?

2016 Lowe st 175 merc 60 4 stroke, helix 9 si / helix 9, terrova us2 with link, drift master rod holders . I fish because the voices in my tackle box tell me to, and who am i to argue
First I would contact someone who knows the lake if possible . They can help you eliminate a lot of water. Next look for boats long liners tend group up in areas that contain fish
Whar you'a goin?
Well I'm old and know very little about crappie fishing and less ab. out long lining. Being old and dumb I don't have the intelligence to ride around all day looking at a graph. I look at the graph when I get to the area I'm going to fish. I found the fish at talquin last weekend by calling litewire hooker who fishes down there all the time. Going to a new place I call someone who knows the area or hire a guide for one day. Keeps me from tearing up stuff which I'm very good at. Fur and them boys are the electronic wizards they will show you how to graph them up. Ifv you want to fish Weiss just call me and Ill eliminate a lot of water for you. For the next couple of weeks eliminate the whole lake

The good thing about long lining you cover water fast. If I pull a spot for 10min. And don't get a bite I'm moving. You get a feel for where the fish should be after a while. I would take coach's advice over mine tho, he's been trolling longer than I been alive.

Look for bait fish crappie want be far from em most the time ! In times past I have been guilty of fishing the 90% dead water while the fish are in the other 10% ! You can cover a lot of water when pulling but This time of year I would start at the Chanel’s and work up !
Too blessed to be stressed!Redge LIKED above post
