    Default North Alabama flooding predicted

Folks, we're about to get some serious rain over the next 3 days/nights. Flash flooding across Marshall County is predicted and I'd imagine Madison and Jackson counties as well due to the mountains and runoff. I've read that this may be worse than the 2003 flooding and it was pretty bad. This evening there are 15 gates open at Guntersville Dam and 6 of them are all the way up and you can see thru the gap between the water and the bottom of the gate. That's releasing a LOT of water into Wheeler Lake.

Y'all be careful and don't drive thru any flooded areas. Turn around/don't drown.

I saw this morning that we're predicted to get 3-7" of rain tomorrow and Wednesday.

Last prediction that I actually read was 8 to 12 inches. Christmas Day of 2015 was when we got around 10 inches if I remember correctly. I almost lost my road and 24" culvert on Ga Mtn in that mess. I'm hoping that it don't get that bad over there this time but if it does I'll probably lose that part of my road and that culvert.

Here on one hand they are predicting a 1” a day, on the other hand they are predicting as much as 7” total. Who knows. But if I lived anywhere near to a flood prone area I wouldn’t popo this and get ready for it. I know you guys are as soaked as we are and anywhere close to predictions is going to be bad in more ways than one.

I hope they miss it. I found some pigs yesterday, was hoping to go back and catch a few this week. Doesn't look like that's going to happen now.
