    Default Bobber question

I've been using the splash brite bobbers, and they are pretty heavy. It's my thinking that in the cold weather it's may be harder to detect bites than using a lighter bobber with glow stick. Especially if the fish are shalllow. Your thoughts.

I like the weighted slip bobbers with a light added. I use the lights that are about 1 1/2" tall with an LED light in the top that turns on when you push down on the top. They have a white plastic cap that you put over the light end to keep the water out. I've had them last over 30 hours of lighted time. I like the weighted bobber because it always sits the light up in the air and provides less resistance when the fish bight. Love it when they take it under and it lights up the water in a big ball.

I use the foam type pencil floats like Walmart sells with enough split shot to get the minnow down and I let the bobber lie flat on the water when the fish hits, even lightly, the stick of the bobber will stand up telling you have a bite.
