    Default Bank fishing Guntersville Wednesday?

Hey guys! I have to be at the Big G on Wednesday/Thursday for work this week. I’ve never fished it, but have always wanted to, and want to seize the chance. I know I’ve watched a lot of videos and seen a lot of pictures where people catch them from the bank over that way.

Does anyone want to help help a guy out with general areas? I know that’s like asking for a pot of gold, but I know I’ve seen mention of certain bridges, causeways (whatever that is), and other things on here. Any help is appreciated!!!

Browns creek bridge (Hwy 69) or Town creek bridge (Hwy 227) would be your best bets, IMO.

Just about any of the bridges hold fish ! Most bites come first light or last light but their is a mid day bit sometimes also! blue ice or monkey milk bobbygarlands will do the trick many other colors work well also ! Most fish been 6-10’ u will just have count it down and see ! Good luck and post some pics if you get to go! Also the big dock behind Goosepond bait and tackle usually has fish on it as well!

Also, 431 bridge right when you come into Guntersville behind Publix! Check it out and good luck!

Thanks for the input! Would there be a location in the area to purchase minnows? When I search bait and tackle shops all I can seem to find is a restaurant. I’m sure there is a gas station that has minnows somewhere there, but no luck finding it.

Ill be in the state park area but will drive wherever as I’ll have some time.

Thanks again for for the feedback. Keep it coming.

As soon as you come into Guntersville there is a gas station on the same side of Publix that sale tackle and minnows. If you look across the street next to the hotel there sits a Texaco that also sale minnows. Also, Guntersville tackle is off the other bridge FYI

There is also a store across from a boat launch that sales tackle and minnows... you can’t miss it and if you need to ask someone and they’ll definitely point you in the right direction! Welcome to Bama!!!

Guntersville Tackle and Outdoors has the best minnows I’ve ever bought and their cheap too. $5 or $5.50 for 1/4 lb
of shiners or toughies. Home owned store too. It’s on Hwy 69 on the west end of the causeway.

I haven't tried it, but I bet you can catch some crappie bank fishing by the river bridge there on 431.

I'll sell you the coordinates to IDOT's favorite fishing hole for $50 in unmarked funds.
