WOW ,, Who would have thought
Decided to do a little bank fishing in all the muddy water yesterday from 11-5. I make a few bank fishing trips each year just for a change of pace from the boat. Managed to catch 12 good fish, the largest was 14" with a couple 13+ and all the rest above 10". Water clarity was about 12". All my fish came off of Monkey Milk and glacier on either a pink or chartreuse head. They were down anywhere from 6-10'. Current was fairly decent, they were pulling but not too strong. Bait fish were all over under the bridges. I had 7 females and all of them had well developed egg sacks with good blood vessels around them already. I'd say the first wave is in and waiting for that first good three days of warm water already. (Hard to believe they're that developed already) All the fish were good and fat, a lot of oil was floating on the water as I was cleaning them. The bass were pretty active blowing up on the shad as well.

Nice job! That's about the depth mine were in on the weekend. Monkey milk was good to me too.

Striperking there is no telling how many crappie you went without catching by not using these baits. However different baits work in different locations. This has been my go to bait for a few years. I have caught hundreds on it. Just google it. Bobby garland baby shad monkey milk
Great job Bob! Glad you got to get out and feel the thump!
Nice catch and post.
Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.
Thanks for the reply. Most of the lakes I fish this time of year in GA you can plant corn behind your boat. So dark colors seem to work better. I will look these up and if they work in muddy water I will give them a try.
