    Default Bridge Connectors

Does anyone on here build and sell something to connect underneath bridges to secure your boat? I saw a guy yesterday with huge looking scissor type clamps.
    Thanks,

Which bridge were you fishing? Saw a guy under short creek bridge sat morning with big metal clamps like what you are talking about. I've seen more homemade plywood ones, though.

The man who used to sell them (Perry's Store Town Creek) I heard he got sick and stopped making them. Each bridge is different. Things I would invest in ...

    From my knowledge:
    - Get 2 15 ft of ropes
    - Get 2 5ft plywood, drill a hole in the center and get you a paint stick to put the board up with
    - Get you 2 large C-Clamps

Some bridges are 50", soem are 60", some are low enough for clamps, some are low enough for ropes.

I have yet to find out how long each bridge is and google doesn't seem to know. I know of a bridge that is exactly 5ft from beam to beam, but other than that ... nope.

I've seen some folks us a 2x8 with a rope going through the middle, they use on for the front and back. It works as long as your opening is not longer than 8ft.

Yep. It took me forever for someone to finally tell me. I've asked for a long time. A guy who I used to fish with told me the length the board needed to be for one bridge. Then I went with a few people who had ropes and C-Clamps and that's how we set up. I couldn't find anything on bridge information via TVA website or Google or YT.

go to harbor frieght look for a cargo rod , it will expand 40 to 70 inches but you can modify them for what you need, just put it between beams and it jacks out till it touches both sides, be sure to put a rope on it so if you drop it you can get it back, i saw one in the sale paper for 22 dollars

    Default bridge

We also were fishing short creek but we fish several bridges so I'd like to find something that would adapt to all. The large scissor type clamps one guy was using would do the trick, I think.

Thanks guys, you had some great ideas. I did see some guys at Warrenton bridge the had C-clamps with a long handle on them so they could reach up high and still turn the handle to tighten.
