    Default Limestone Bay

Fished the channel between the bay and the river. Sonar shows crappie stacked 5 deep at 10 to 15 feet and you couldn't get them to bite with dynamite. I talked to one guy who was there just after daylight and he got 6 immediately and they stopped. I fished all day and got brim and catfish, threw them back, and not one single solitary crappie. Water was 50 in the bay, 45 in the channel, but water level is higher than summer pool.

Not sure what is going on with that high water. Saw that the other day as I drove over the 31 bridge. It is way high for this time of year. I'd bet that is what has those fish messed up.

High water effects the fish down here like that
Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.

Fished the same stretch today. Managed 3 in 6 hours. Used every trick I got for them.

Congrats man !!! We're going to try again in the morning. Hoping the water level dropped enough that the crappie settle down a bit and chomp on some minners. Come join us, we'll be there a little after 9 (my buddy is bringing his grandson so we get there a bit late.)
