Welcome, I fished Lay a few times many years ago but not since then. Good luck and please give us a report if you get out there.

Went yesterday slow bite, only caught one crappie and one seven pound cat on a crappie jig, really a rookie, need lots of help. I did switch to bass and caught several nothing large. All lived to see another day.

I fish Lay Lake a lot. I know of some Crappie spots. But I never can meet anyone with a boat that fishes Lay Lake. The few people I know with boats - we always go to Guntersville. Lol. When they feel like going.

I mostly bank it. I know some great bank spots on Lay Lake and a few areas from boat that holds Crappie.
