Great report, glad you got out!
Fished Cotaco Wednesday morning from 6:45 - 10:30 AM. Water temp was 64-65 degrees and the water clarity was great - the clearer the water the better I usually do out there. Caught about 20-25 crappie and 10 would measure - all were released. The first part of the morning Bluegrass color BGBS was the best bait and then I used the Devils Grin color BGBS. Used a 1/32 oz unpainted jig head on 4lbs test. Most the fish were in 5-8 ft of water about 2-3 feet down close to structure. The bite shut off at about 815 then picked back up again around 10.
The fish were not thumping the bait very hard and if you weren't watching the line very closely you wouldn't have even known a fish was on there. Even the few I caught slow rolling a bobber just took the bobber and ran sideways with it.
It was a very good day! I hope this weather coming through doesn't mess things up too bad at Cotaco, because the water clarity and level were ideal!
Great report, glad you got out!
