Last spring, I backed mine off the ramp at blown out bridge ramp (I think that’s what they call that one on north Sauty) and bent the axle and trashed the wheel. Because I ride motorcycle, I have AAA RV roadside service and towing. It turns out they would have hauled my truck and my boat on separate rollbacks as part of the service. We ended up getting the bead to seat on the wheel and I drove it home, not knowing the axle was bent and wearing out my tire. The moral of the story is I get a little peace of mind knowing AAA will tow me and the boat home if I get into a jam. And, since I drive older vehicles, it’s not if, but when something is going to break down. Hope you get yours back up and going soon.

Dang that's some bad luck. I've offered to back trailers in for folks before and will probably continue, but I guess your story is a reminder that bad things can happen when you try to help others, but that doesn't give us an excuse not to try.
Did he back off the side of the ramp, or is the water so low that he backed off the end of the ramp?
BTW, what city do you live in? If close to Albertville, send me a message. I can help you with the trailer repair, and will be glad to, if that's what the insurance company wants to do.
You'll laugh about it in a couple of years

I try to remember to put my waders in the truck. When I know this is a possibility. I have had to lift a few trailers for myself and others. The end of these ramps should be marked with warning explanations
