Seems to more like morning, evening and night. Sometimes you can get on them and stay on them during daylight.

I am fairly new to the crappie scene and have been mainly a bass, cat, bream guy unless it is spawn time and the crappie are everywhere haha. Anyways, was curious about time frame when it comes to the "cool down" I know we have all been waiting on. So my question is do the crappie bite well at night with lights off the side of the boat, or during the day since the water has gotten cooler? Thanks in advance for your help. I will be on lake Guntersville if that matters.

My $0.02 - Night fishing is usually productive during the entire year regardless of temperature. When the water temps are between 50 - 65 you can usually catch them throughout the day or at least this has been my experience....some folks on here can catch crappie any day, any time and at any temp, I'm just not that good. lol
