Default Not a crappie report but

So I went to gulf shores this weekend to fish for a couple of days. I figured the flounder run was on and I was hoping to catch a few reds and trout. We tried a little bit of everything and had some luck. We found the flounder thick in one place but most were just too short, but we managed to keep plenty for the freezer . We caught a few keeper reds and a lot of rat reds. Also did good on trout, with one being the biggest I will probably ever catch. It was around 6 or 7 lbs. The picture doesn't do it justice, I couldn't put both my hands around it and it was at least 25in long. I'm still learning this inshore fishing, but it's so much fun and the fish are tasty. WTG sounds like a blast of a fishing trip. Glad that storm missed us but hate for our neighbors to the east

Glenn, that is a heck of a nice trout. Fishing only fair in Cocodrie last week. Very high water due to storm and strong east wind affected areas we could fish. Still did ok but it is cooling off and should be better when I go back in November.
