@ OP,
If you fish bridges at night with a green light about 3-5 ft down off the side of the boat, or even get you some floating lights, wait about an hour and you'll see plenty of fish, giving the weather is right. About the current; current positions the fish into the Eddysof the bridge. If they are pulling water, find that calm little pocket infront of the pilon and drop a minnow there.
- Tip #1, get you some 8" glow sticks from Dollar General and put them on the end of your rod either with tape or zip-tie, and you won't miss as much bites.
- Tip #2, use Hi-Vis line. I LOVE Stren Crappie Mono Gold 6 lb from Wal-Mart.
- Tip #3, a red head lamp keeps the bugs out of your face.
- Tip #4, play music! The fish LOVE music!
- Tip #5, if the bite slows down with minnows, start jigging very slowly .... black n chart works wonders at night or solid black.
- Tip #6, ENJOY YOURSELF!
- Tip #7, don't tell your wife you'll be home by 10 pm and crawl in at 7 am LOL
Hope this helps you out!
