    Default Not crappie! But fun!

Had a blast fishing with Mr D W Ross! Footballcoachs dad. I sure hope the lord allows me to still be fishing when I’m 90 like he is, it took us about 45 mins to find the fish and figure out how they wanted it ! Thanks to my helix 10”si mega! then it was 3 hours of catching .it was a over cast morning and the temps in the low 70s we quit as the sun poked out through the clouds and it started to get warm! We caught quite a few big gills and some dandy shell cracker many over 10” and several around the 11” mark . keeping only 42 because that’s all I wanted to clean.the picture only shows 40 but 2 had got left in the bucket! Most fish were caught in 3-4 fow using worms or a hair jig tipped with a piece of worm .

I took my Father out this afternoon for what possibly could be his swan song fishing trip (I hope not but there are no guarantees). We had a good afternoon chasing green carp below the dam at Logan Martin. Treasure the moments because they are fleeting.

Thanks again Mitch for taking Daddy fishing. He really enjoyed going. He does pretty good to be ninety. The Lord has blessed him and me in allowing me to have him this long!

Way to go Mitch. Just goes to show that you are a great guy. The coach’s Dad is in great shape to be 90 years young they are truly blessed to have each other this long, I know that the coach appreciates you taking him.
