The wife and I fished a tournament there last Sat. and only caught 7 crappie all day. We did however catch about 25 bass during the process of trying to catch crappie. There were others in the tournament who caught more than we did. I have seen some reports of folks catching them pretty shallow around cover like blown down trees. 7-10 feet. Hope this helps a little. Post a report if you get to go.

I went on Monday morning. Water temp was 69 and the lake was down about 3 feet. I long lined an hour or two and only caught bass and catfish. I was using 1/16 single and double grubs at .8 to 1.0 mph. I kept seeing a nice brush pile at 12 feet deep. I put up my trolling stuff and tried casting 1/16 grubs to the brush pile. I caught about 15 crappie and brought 8 of them home for dinner.

Logan Martin has not been good to me on a few years. I can catch them but nothing like a few years ago. I used to get limits pretty regular but now it hard to get a nuff for dinner.

The State biologist said that it is in a down cycle and should recover soon.
