I have a Cumberland crappie seat base in my boat. I did have room to add pedestals in front deck. My issue is most of the time there are three in boat. I can spider with double seat base in front or if I want to long line I just move the seat base to the back deck. There is a lip to step over but hasn't been an issue so far. This unit is all aluminum and very strong.
For those of you who have 2 extra seat bases installed, could you provide measurements as to how far apart they are and how far back from the front? I am in the process of recarpeting my floor and plan to add two extra bases. I will be getting an I pilot link TM so I can move them and my rod holders further back if that’s beneficial to do. Thanks
I just built one myself and to it to a local machine shop and they put Teflon bushings in it for like 20 bucks. Nothing fancy but it works and was cheap. Just welded a 3/4 bolt in it to drop down in seat pedestal.
Mine are mounted 31 inches apart from center to center. As far as how far back is determined by the deck or layout of your boat. I use the Titelok Widow Makers individual holders they are mounted on a ball and can move forward, backward side to side or even diagonal directions. Not all folks have the same leg and arm length and they are highly adjustable. Base tracks aren't mounted yet I just got them today. Get in there and set on a bucket with your holders and find what's comfortable for you. I have a sidekick set so used that for initial testing purposes.

Every boat is different. Best thing to do is what others have said. Sit on a bucket with someone on another bucket. Make sure you can spin towards outside of boat without going over the side to far. Also measure seats make sure they won't hit each other when spinning. Me and flintcreek had a touch over 500# on that set up. Definitely not the best design but like I said was cheap. Had materials sitting around the house. Only thing I would suggest is bigger feet on the bottom of stand.
