I come down to bham from time to time I'm wondering where is a good place to fish around there. My friend told me they have lakes at ok man state park. Is there anywhere else I don't know the area at all.

Hello Sir. Oak Mt is dry.

I would try Lake Guntersville or Lake Martin.

    Good luck!

Well .... me and my friend went last week and nothing bite at all, live minnows/jigs/you name it. Locals said it was fished out. Good BASS though.

Lake Purdy was extremely dry due to the drought we faced, and the people that I know that fish there are reporting very slow bites. Nothing really. So these slabs he is talking about, they must be locals that know where to go. But a newcomer it will be difficult. Just my take on it.

I'm in Hoover so I just named the spots that we go to and with great results. Guntersville/Weiss are the best.

And is he night fishing or day fishing or both?
