FYI, I fished this area with alexava last year and returned several nice fish on that trip also. It always holds some nice fish, just hard to get into, hard to fish and full of gar, carp and snakes. Of course if it was easy, everyone would be fishing there, LOL.

That's an awesome day in there. Did you get back up around the corner or just the one big straight away. Funny how it wasn't until you got the pink on that they started knocking it so hard. WTG!!

    Bob,

Around the corner in the open water this trip. They move around a lot, never seem to be in the same location.

I also returned four slabs 15 inches or over (I had to keep two others that I deep hooked). The water is only two to three feet deep, spider rigging six poles, with jigs about 12 to 18 inches deep. The water was 83 degrees and very muddy with visibility of inches.

I think I've got the bugs worked out and my new kayak setup. I'll take a few photo's later this week and post when I have some time.

I decided to get a weight on them. Not the most accurate scales, but they should be close.
