Hmmmm not sure which causeway you were counting that many cars .I was at Browns creek bridge this morning from 645 til 8 and there were 4 cars on one side and 1 on the pump house side maybe 2 at one time. Only 3 there when I left at 8 ish. As to the fish about the same as its been all month, with the water temp in the mid 70 to upper 70's still, is about 2 to 4 keepers on a good day, none to 2 on a bad day, with lots of shad and stripe thrown in and the bites over by 730 or 8.The good news is that there was a good spawn in 2014 as there are a lot of 6 to 7 inch dinks being caught. I fish 3 other bridges and the results are the same. Honey comb bridge has been seeing a pretty steady catch according to one of my bridge buddies but I haven't seen it myself so that can be taken for what its worth ...........need water into the lower 60's to bring in the schools of minnows to keep the crappie around and near the bridges .The minnows are still out in the creeks in bait balls 5 tp 8 ft down.

Ive been having that same lack of success at Mink and Mill creeks due to lack of baitfish that until last year were normally there in August and Sept. Had decent catches a few times in July as there were lots of bream or bass fry in the 1 inch range but those are all gone now and haven't even seen bait balls in the open water there though I have seen several at honeycomb though not within casting distance of the bridge. North sauty has bait under it some days particularly if the water is being pulled and there are some decent fish there when it is moving downstream.
I think the last 2 winters have been hard on the shad in the shallows . The bait never did show up there last year like previous years though it did get a little better in Nov. Also lots of poachers seining the culverts for crappie and bass to sell to Asian grocery stores in Huntsville. several folks have told me they have bought crappie from an Asian market in Madison and that they have them year round. I will be taking video and calling the game warden if I see it . Several people were caught at Mink creek last year using casting nets and one with a sein.

I don't live in the area just reporting what a buddy told me Sunday. The North Saulty bridge was all but dead Friday just 2 boats and I was one of theme 1 crappie and some stripes ,did not notice any bait fish active.
Speaking of Crappie poaching yes the Bridge at North Saulty gets nailed hard or was last year. They also walk out the public docks and to the same.

Its probably been posted but here is the number again to turn the low life poachers in Game violations :1-800-272-4263 I reported some treble hook snagging under the Browns creek bridge last year ,it took the female warden about a week but she busted them. Some people try to get away with that using a new kind of spoon like treble hook that has a shiny neck on it from the eye to the top of the hook base. If they see you using that you better not be snatching every few second or so ,so sez the warden .
